Attending The Awards

Where do the Awards take place?

The Professional Beauty Awards 2027 will take place in London on Sunday 28 February 2027.

Important information for your entry

• Those entries reliant on Chat GPT or Al will be marked down accordingly. We are not looking for essay writing material, this entry is judged on the content so please answer in your own words.
•  
• Please ensure all photos submitted are as requested. Where requested for the room they should show the room as a whole and not the corner of a couch etc.
•  
• Please do not upload selfies for your headshot, these images should be professional photos in your work environment.
•  
• Team images should be the team together and not individual headshots.
•  
• Entries will not be submitted to the judging panel where entrants supply and answer of "N/A" to a required question.

Can we take the team?

Yes, please do! We would recommend getting in touch with the Awards Team if you are looking
to do this in separate transactions so that we can allocate your booking accordingly.

Do you have hotel recommendations or booking service?

Do I have to attend The Salon Growth Summit to attend the awards?

No, you do not have to attend The Salon Growth Summit to attend the Awards. 

How To Enter The PB Awards

What is the last date to get my entry submitted?

All entries must be submitted by 5pm on Monday, 14 September 2026.

Can I post a hard copy of my entry?

No - ALL entries must be submitted online.

Can I enter if I live abroad?

You can only enter if you live in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland.

What are the eligibility dates for entry?

Entrants eligible for consideration must have been opened before the end of February 2025.

Do I have to pay to enter?

• No, there is no charge to enter the awards.
•  
• If you reach the finalist stage of any of the Boutique Salon, Boutique Spa, Large Salon, Large Spa, Nail Salon and Skin Clinic of the Year categories you will be required to host an official visitor. All finalists will be contacted by an official visitor, who will make an appointment to see the facilities and interview the managers, staff and owner. Finalists will be responsible for providing one treatment free of charge for the Official Visitor.

• If you reach the finalist stage of the Electrologist of the Year category, you will be asked to attend a practical session in central London on Wednesday, 27 January 2027. You will be required to provide your own model for the practical day.
•  
• If you reach the finalist stage of the Therapist of the Year category, you will be asked to attend a practical session in central London on Friday 29 January 2027.

Can I enter more than one category?

• You may only enter one of the Spa or Salon categories for any individual property.
•  
• You may only enter Therapist or Mobile/Home-based Beauty Business of the Year, you cannot enter both categories.
•  
• If entering more than one category, please ensure you have submitted each separate entry and they are in the transactions section of your account. Make sure each entry is unique in its content. The judges can become familiar with repeated entries.

Can I submit more than one entry under the same account login?

Yes, one account can be created for multiple entries including entries for different Salons/Spas/Entrants. Please ensure the correct details for the entrant are completed on the entry form.

I have won the same category three times - can I enter the same category again?

No, you can’t unless there has been a two-year gap from the last year you won to the year you’d like to enter again.

• The Awards system supports png, jpeg, jpg, gif, pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx, txt, rtf, zip, 7z, mp3, eps, ai. files only

• Individual files larger than 40MB may result in the upload failing and, in some circumstances, cause your entry information to be lost. If the files are of the correct format and less than 40MB in size then select and upload the file.

How do I check my photo/s meet the resolution requirements?

Do I need to complete the online entry form and submit straight away?

No - the entry form can be saved by clicking 'Save for Later' and returned to at any point by logging back in and selecting 'Saved Items' 

However when finished please move your entry to basket and complete your entry. On completion you will receive an automated email from evessio confirming your entry.

Is there a word limited on the answers?

Only on select questions. To view the word limits select enter now on the category you wish to enter, then login or create an account. You will be directed to the online entry form showing the question-and-answer fields

When will I know if I have been shortlisted?

The Finalists will be announced in November 2026.

If I reach the shortlist, is there anything else I need to do?

Second-round judging:

If you reach the finalist stage of the Employer of the Year or the Mobile/Home-based Beauty Business of the Year you will be asked to attend a online interview on Thursday, 14 January 2027.

If you reach the finalist stage of the Microneedling Therapist of the Year you will be asked to attend a online interview on Friday, 15 January 2027.

 

Second-round judging for Boutique Salon, Large Salon, Spa and Skin Clinic of the Year categories:

Official Visitor:

 

• If you reach the finalist stage of any of the Boutique Salon, Large Salon, Spa and Skin Clinic of the Year categories you will be required to host an official visitor. 
• All finalists will be contacted by an official visitor, who will make an appointment to see the facilities and interview the managers, staff and owner.
• Finalists will be responsible for providing one treatment free of charge for the Official Visitor.
• These visits will take place between November and December 2026, if your business is closed for any period during these months, we need you to notify us of this in advance by sending an email to awards@thepbgroup.com . If we do not receive advance notification, this could limit your business’ chances of progressing to the final stage of the award.

 

 

Second-round judging for Therapist of the Year:

• If you reach the finalist stage of the Therapist of the Year category, you will be asked to attend a practical session on in January 2027.

Second-round judging for Waxing Therapist of the Year:

• If you reach the finalist stage of the Waxing Therapist of the Year category, you will be asked to attend a practical session on in January 2027. You will be required to provide your own model for the practical day.

Are there restrictions on who can enter the awards?

The awards are open to individuals and businesses based in the UK that provide treatments or train others to do so. Product suppliers are not eligible to enter. 

Businesses and individuals that offer botulinum toxin or dermal filler treatments are only eligible to enter if those treatments are performed by a trained and licensed medical practitioner.
