Colebrooke Spa stars on Country House Rescue

The design and development of Northern Ireland Spa Colebrooke will be the subject of primetime Channel 4 show Country House Rescue tonight at 8pm.

Spa consultant Jennifer Gorman of JG Associates will share her wisdom on the show, providing advice to the owners of Colebrooke Park Country Estate and Stately Home in Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, about creating a spa from the ground up.

The owners, Viscount and Viscountess Brookeborough, wanted to create a spa in the stables of their grounds but has no industry experience.

Gorman, who has run her consultancy for more than 12 years, joined new presenter Simon Davis, Viscount Brookborough and the spa manager for the initial filming and on-site spa development lead at Colebrooke.

From there she worked remotely with Viscount Brookborough to support the six-week refurbishment, conversion and turnaround of the stable house ready for the first-stage launch of the new Colebrooke Spa and Country House Rescue’s final day of filming.

Since filming ended, Gorman has continued to work behind the scenes with Viscount Brookeborough to develop a longer-term, evolving spa model that will allow the business to grow in stages.

Gorman said: “It has been very positive to have worked with Country House Rescue and to bring spa development to prime time TV. Colebrooke is a magical setting and place and I look forward to seeing the spa business evolve to ensure a successful and reputable addition to the estate as a whole”.

The episode of Country House Rescue launches the new season and can be seen on Channel 4 at 8pm tonight.
