The end of one chapter, the beginning of an exciting new one!

After 10 years of service to the nail industry, the ANT Membership Scheme has reached an end and the ANT was wound up on 31 October 2008. The skills, knowledge and talents of the membership management team will be used to strengthen the Professional Beauty shows’ offerings for all nail technicians, including of course past ANT members.

Rachel Myatt and Sue Davies will be working closely with the Professional Beauty show team to deliver ‘A’-lister Masterclasses for nail technicians and manicurists (we have signed up Doug Schoon already!), along with a brand new, ‘super-powered’ nail competition. In addition, Rachel will be posting the pick of new, interesting articles on the PB show website each month.

This move forward will allow us to refocus our skills to a much wider nail audience. We currently spend the majority of our time administering the membership scheme and not being able to focus on education and information for all nail technicians.

What will happen next?

• For memberships that expire after 31 October 2008, there has been a refund for the value of the remaining time before the membership would have expired naturally. We have calculated this by dividing the total amount of money paid for the membership by 12 months. We then multiplied this monthly figure by the number of months still remaining before the membership would have expired anyway.
• As a past ANT member, you’ll get a free ticket to Professional Beauty (1-3 March 2009, Excel, London) saving you up to £40 on the new entry fee for PB.
• Your Gold Card will still entitle you fast track entry through the VIP entrance
• The content in the ANT newsletter will simply be transferred to the Professional Beauty website from winter 2008 so you can keep up to date there.
• You are still eligible for a £5 discount when entering the nail competition
• Your subscription to Professional Beauty magazine will continue until your membership would have expired. Please contact Esco on 01371 851802 with any subscription queries.
• Your ANT Insurance will still be valid until expiry and Woodgates will be able to reinsure you under their Professional Nail/Beauty Direct scheme at renewal. Please contact Woodgates on 01622 740045 with any insurance queries.
• The Yellow Pages Corporate Advertising Scheme ceased taking new adverts from 31st October 2008.
• ANT logos and promotional material that you are currently using on stationery/in your salon will need to be removed at the earliest opportunity after 31st October 2008, the date the ANT ‘officially’ expires.
• Gold level members who signed up for the Gold Member Directory on the ANT website can now request that their details be entered into the Professional Beauty salon directory so potential clients will still be able to find a local nail professional. Simply enter your details at http://www.professionalbeautybuyersguide.co.uk/getlisted.asp .
