PB meets Guillaume Lefevre, President and Co-founder of THÉMAÉ
Founded in 2007 by Guillaume Lefevre and Bertrand Thiery, THÉMAÉ is a spa brand which finds its inspiration in the art of tea. The two founders explored the many virtues of the four types of tea around the world (black, green, white and red) in order to extract the best one for the well-being of body and skin care by combining them with spring water to maintain their purity.
Their brand is present in the THÉMAÉ spa in Paris and at the The Ritz-Carlton hotel in Seoul, South Korea, as well as in prestigious partner spas across 4 continents.
PB: What is your most popular product and what do you think makes it popular?
GL: I would say that our massage balm is one of our very popular products. This rich and creamy balm, enhanced with the rejuvenating properties of black tea, immediately pampers and soothes the body.
PB: What makes your products special over the competition?
GL: THÉMAÉ, Japanese name for the tea preparation ceremony, is a unique tea based expert line of cosmetics & treatments for face and body. These sublime textures hold the promise of results and total wellbeing. The tea plant has over 30% of polyphenols (one of the highest levels of antioxidant concentration known) and contains antioxidants 200 times more potent than Vitamin E.
PB: How cost effective are your products when introducing them into a salon?
GL: Our cost per treatment is very competitive taking into account the quality that high-end Spas are looking for.
PB: Do you provide any extra services for professionals who use your products in their salons?
GL: Yes of course. We believe that without service and training, there is no quality Spa treatment.
PB: Why should salon owners visit your stand at the show?
GL: We would like to invite Salon Owners, Managers and Directors who share our passion for tea to visit our stand (U44) and learn more about our products and treatments and reward them with a special package.
PB: Are you having anything new on your stand at the show?
GL: Yes we will launch two new products, one for the face, one for the body. Our products and treatments are 100% dedicated to the benefits of tea since day one
PB: Will you be having any special offers exclusive to the show?
GL: Yes, we thought that we will reward Spa Assistant Managers, Spa Managers or Directors and Spa/Hotel Owners who believe in our tea & spa passion and what we do. If we start a business partnership* with a Spa in line with our quality positioning before the 30 June 2013, we will celebrate it by inviting two members of their team in Paris to discover our award winning flagship THEMAE Spa in the heart of Paris (for 2 people: flight or train tickets, 1 night accommodation B&B, 3 meals, 4 hours THEMAE treatments).

PB: What tips would you give salon owners looking to introduce a new line into their salon?
GL: more at the quality of people: their real passion, their values and honesty, their level of commitment, their enthusiasm, their professionalism, their product supply efficiency, their attention to the details.
PB: What’s going on outside of show activities.
GL: We are currently training two respectable Hotel Spas who are taking on board THEMAE treatments: the Four Season hotel in Marrakesh, Morocco and one Shangri-La hotel in Singapore.
